A Dark Sky Campsite in Wales
Glanmarlais Camping is an eco-friendly campsite offering an almost-wild camping experience on an organic farm in Wales, situated in Carmarthenshire’s gorgeous Tywi Valley. It boasts spectacular views of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and glorious constellations in one of the world’s darkest skies. Enjoy a large pitch in a tranquil rural setting, and a hot outdoor shower after a fun-filled day of walking, biking, swimming and sightseeing! Ours is a quiet, family-friendly campsite appreciated equally by solo campers and couples.

Head back to nature and enjoy a peaceful and remote rural retreat, with amenities including compost toilets, a hot shower powered by an air-source heat pump (with changing room and vanity area), a washing-up area, and a communal fridge. You will also have access to charging facilities for electronic devices, while the large barn provides a characterful communal dry space with tables and seating. Campfires are allowed by your pitch, and firewood is available for purchase on-site.
Funds from the campsite contribute to the development of a conservation grazing program to enhance Glanmarlais Farm’s floral and faunal diversity and protect its existing habitats.
The farm has been certified organic by the Soil Association for 25 years and is a member of the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group for Wales.
